Parentheses - An interruption of continuity; an interval.
"This is one of the things I wasn't prepared for — the amount of unfilled time, the long parentheses of nothing" (Margaret Atwood).

“For every period of time when you exist, short or long, there is a temporal part of you that exists only then. And for any temporal parts of any objects whatsoever, there is a larger object made up of just those parts.” - John Locke
"Every time I enunciate 'I', even in my thought, an identity is assumed, and this identity is itself not simple, but a figure of a complex gathering of personal and impersonal histories, texts, discourses, beliefs, cultural assumptions, and ideological interpellations...it is not an artifact but a process." - Richard Dyer

i've never wished for something more.
my very early christmas wish: to have another year with 5P.

these days, everything is about change and separation. changing my subject combination, changing my class, friends possibly retaining, friends leaving overseas, us leaving this school campus (i have become somewhat emotionally attached to this campus). next year, nothing will be the same again. but i don't want that. this is happening all too quickly... like water seeping through your fingers, you see these moments escape before your eyes, knowing you will only have less and less, never more or as much as before.

where are the carefree, careless days?

while watching tv a few weeks earlier, i chanced upon this line this guy in Samurai Girl said, "All she needs is a guy who can make her laugh, who will tell her which books to read, what movies to rent...". this is really all i need. i dont need someone to solve my problems, to tell me what to do. is this alright with you?
