Parentheses - An interruption of continuity; an interval.
"This is one of the things I wasn't prepared for — the amount of unfilled time, the long parentheses of nothing" (Margaret Atwood).

“For every period of time when you exist, short or long, there is a temporal part of you that exists only then. And for any temporal parts of any objects whatsoever, there is a larger object made up of just those parts.” - John Locke
"Every time I enunciate 'I', even in my thought, an identity is assumed, and this identity is itself not simple, but a figure of a complex gathering of personal and impersonal histories, texts, discourses, beliefs, cultural assumptions, and ideological interpellations...it is not an artifact but a process." - Richard Dyer

my spiritual journey has been such a rollercoaster.

i feel so marooned at times. given away, sold. never thought i'll return. been there and back. and right the next day i find new strength to face these trials.

it is true that sometimes the best can become the worst.

and somedays like today i just want to interact with animals only. animals are better than people because...

what is the line between insanity and sanity? is it the will to conform to social norms? what if i decide to lose this will voluntarily? what if i let myself be insane? is that even possible? or is that just pretence? does insanity grow on you unwittingly? do you dare to cross the line and lose your will? permanently?

"become the man you want to marry". interesting idea. but what about opposites attracting, complementing? maybe if i become the man i want to marry i wouldn't marry after all. i dont need anyone, i am all i need, i love me! or if i do need anyone, wouldnt i need someone that complements me, therefore not the same as me?

slip through my fingers, slip away from my eyes, slip into the background, blend and disappear. i can hardly recall anything about you now. what memories? what good old days? i now know memories can be deleted. time is capable of erasing memories if you allow it to. i'll tell you this: memories can be deleted permanently. all you will be left with is a name that recalls a face but no memories. dont underestimate your ability to forget, as much as you overestimate your ability to remember.

it can be so convenient.
