080392 Parentheses - An interruption of continuity; an interval. "This is one of the things I wasn't prepared for — the amount of unfilled time, the long parentheses of nothing" (Margaret Atwood). “For every period of time when you exist, short or long, there is a temporal part of you that exists only then. And for any temporal parts of any objects whatsoever, there is a larger object made up of just those parts.” - John Locke "Every time I enunciate 'I', even in my thought, an identity is assumed, and this identity is itself not simple, but a figure of a complex gathering of personal and impersonal histories, texts, discourses, beliefs, cultural assumptions, and ideological interpellations...it is not an artifact but a process." - Richard Dyer

If you're not for me then why does this distance maim my life?
- If You're Not the One, Daniel Bedingfield the start of a new term and im already sick of school, sick of life. i cannot wait for As to be over. whats keeping me sane are friends and tennis. whats making it worse are piano lessons. interestingly, tuition really inspires and motivates me to learn. still, nothing gets me more than the longing to disconnect from all intellect, at least for a day. its not like i cant. but i feel that since there is this set amount of time before the As i should maximize it for studying, so there is guilt and anxiety when i dont. i guess i fear regrets. and something interesting i read is that regret tends to come from what you didnt do rather than what you did. because with what you did, the regret is limited, though not any less haunting. but with what you didnt do, the regret is boundless; you keep wondering about the outcomes of what may be if you did it. somedays i wish i was a cowgirl. ![]() Labels: clap for happiness |
